Registration is open NOW and will occur using this Google Registration Form (link). Payment will occur via Pay/Pal. Participants will receive an email confirmation upon registering with instructions and information to access the virtual CMTEs being sent one week prior to the course.

Cost:
Professionals within and outside of the profession of Music Therapy:
$80 for each CMTE or $120 for both CMTEs
Students and Student-Interns:
$25 for each CMTE or $40 for both CMTEs

CMTE #1: Relationship Exploration through Music: Treatment Considerations for Adolescents with Attachment Trauma

Presenter: Jaylee Sowders
This presentation focuses on music therapy assessment and treatment with teenage clients experiencing attachment trauma and the role of music as a communicative resource and symbolic object for attachment. Emphasizing equity and accessibility in mental healthcare, this researcher will provide current and future music therapist attendees with practical treatment considerations for facilitating music therapy with adolescents to address attachment trauma.

CMTE #2: Exploring Private Practice and Professionalism: Questions to Ask, Answers to Know

Presenters: Allison Thomas, MBA, MT-BC and Kirby Gilliam, M.A., MT-BC
This course, led by two experienced private practice business owners, will guide new professionals and those considering a switch to work at a private practice through the unique aspects of working in this setting. Participants will explore the key differences between private practice and agency work, essentials in professionalism, questions to ask during interviews, and gain insight into what questions they might encounter from potential employers. The course also covers evaluating job benefits, comparing offers, and understanding what sets various private practices apart. Attendees will leave with the tools needed to confidently navigate the professional world.
