There are dozens of anti-trans, anti-LGBTQ, and anti-drag performance bills being presented and passed in states around our country. As music therapists we know the importance of exploring identity, and along with many, many organizations, stand in support of people in all stages of life moving through the world with authenticity and support. Government intervention will not change the existence of LGBTQIA+ people, but it will endanger the lives and joy of people we love, people we serve, and dear colleagues.
